On this website you will find details of several holiday houses to rent and also a charming little chateau located in the beautiful Charente Maritime (Poitou-Charentes) area of south-west France, not far from La Rochelle, Oleron & the Ile de Re and within sight of the famous Fort Boyard. Over fifty miles of sandy beach grace the coast line and properties vary from villas to cottages and mansions in lively resorts such as La Palmyre and Royan, to quiet little backwaters near Saintes and Rochefort, where life trundles along at a gentle pace.

Many of these properties have swimming pools and most are within easy reach of sandy beaches. This area of France boasts an excellent climate, comparable to the Med. All properties are self-catering.  Water & electricity are usually, but not necessarily, included in the prices.  Cots, high chairs, stair gates, beach towels, bed linen & towels are almost always available for hire - just ask. A breakages deposit is almost always payable.
